Style Alert: Gold is back!

Posted by

A couple of weeks ago, Carol, Alexandra and I started thinking about Christmas 2015 when we went to our Fall conference and buying show in the aptly named Music City, Nashville, TN. The most exciting thing we brought back from the show was that yellow gold is back in jewelry style.

Fashionably long mirror polished earrings were everywhere to be seen. Their long, curvy silhouettes were fashioned in light weights for all-day comfort and they paired well with open link necklaces that will easily transition from the office to a night on the town. Bracelets and necklaces in two tone yellow and white gold were also prominent.

Dancing Diamonds by any other name...Rhythm of Love is our entry into the collection of diamonds that move in their settings creating a perpetual sparkle that catches his eye and his fancy.

The designers and manufacturers tuned up their local flavor to draw attention to their latest creations. Check out this band of Elvises from Parlé displaying some stunning Australian opal with which I "Can't Help Falling in Love."

The crew from Jewelry Innovations distilled the essence of their contemporary metals wedding bands into this clever display that pays tribute to the local whiskey industry. Who says work has to be boring?

Route 66

Carol and I also took the opportunity to take a motorcycle road trip to visit our son in college out in Missouri. We rode 2100 miles from Rome, GA, through Nashville, out to Kansas City, and back through some beautiful two lane blacktop and winding country roads. We even rode a few miles on the Mother Road, Route 66, in Missouri. The abundant beauty of our wonderful country never ceases to amaze me, but the next trip will definitely be in cooler weather!

All in all, it was a great time of learning, relaxing and spending time with friends and family...oh, and work. Click here to see parts of our adventure and take a sneak peek at the jewelry that will be showing up in the stores this Fall.
